Susan Mallett

I am absolutely delighted with my success on this course and, although it was very challenging, I very much enjoyed studying for it.Having worked in NVQ training in the UK I have experience of providing training materials. I am very impressed with the quality and content of your course not to mention the professionalism of your service and I won\'t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Now that I\'ve had some time to go through your comments and suggestions, I\'d just like to say a big thank you for all of your help and support over the past few months. I\'m delighted to have completed my course, and am looking forward to \"pastures new\" when I start teaching my first class next week.

I have to say that I\'ve been very pleased with the quality of service and level of support that I have received from everyone at Global English. I can\'t thank you enough for your prompt answers to my queries, helpful suggestions and comments, and also your book recommendations. You have helped me to grow as a teacher, and I have some useful teaching resources for future use.

Course Description

With this course you can gain the expertise to teach both general English and English to Young Learners with confidence & enjoy better teaching prospects. Starting off in TESOL is an exciting prospect and our level 2 course will take you step-by-step through the essential skills to succeed. But if you’d like to be teaching the 3-15 age groups you may need something more.

Most entry level TESOL courses are geared towards teaching adults whereas this course will help you manage, motivate and succeed with both adults and young learners alike. It has been carefully designed so that the young learner component follows on logically across each of the 4 modules in easy to follow sections. In addition to your teaching English to Young Learners certificate, you will be awarded a level 2 Certificate of Educational studies in TESOL by the international TESOL accrediting body, ACTDEC.

About the course

This 4 module course is approximately 180 study hours and usually takes between 2-5 months to complete. However, many students are balancing work/life commitments, so we allow up to 18 months for course completion. The course is graded by continuous assessment. There are short tasks and in-depth activities throughout the course with exam questions at the end of each module. A qualified EFL tutor will mark your answers and is available if you require any further help. Your final award is graded on the following scale: A, B or Pass and this is shown on your Global English Certificate and your written assessment which acts as a reference. Your Global English Certificate of Educational studies in TESOL with TEYL will state your grade (A, B or pass) along with your written assessment, which acts as a reference. You will also be awarded an ACTDEC level 2 Certificate of Educational studies in TESOL. A free ‘train to teach’ CD-ROM and study pack accompanies the course, where you can view and assess real teaching segments, assisted by guided commentary and study notes. A choice of course book for Young Learners (either primary or teenage focus) is also included.
