The school was very professional and helpful and the tutors knowledgeable and responsive.

Susan Mallett

I am absolutely delighted with my success on this course and, although it was very challenging, I very much enjoyed studying for it.Having worked in NVQ training in the UK I have experience of providing training materials. I am very impressed with the quality and content of your course not to mention the professionalism of your service and I won\'t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Katie Wilson

Now that I\'ve had some time to go through your comments and suggestions, I\'d just like to say a big thank you for all of your help and support over the past few months. I\'m delighted to have completed my course, and am looking forward to \"pastures new\" when I start teaching my first class next week.

I have to say that I\'ve been very pleased with the quality of service and level of support that I have received from everyone at Global English. I can\'t thank you enough for your prompt answers to my queries, helpful suggestions and comments, and also your book recommendations. You have helped me to grow as a teacher, and I have some useful teaching resources for future use.

Course Description

This is an online TESOL course that does not compromise on quality, support or essential methodology. You can gain the skills and confidence to begin teaching, and a final certificate awarded by the international TESOL accrediting body, ACTDEC.

Starting off in TESOL is an exciting prospect and this level 1 course will take you step-by-step through the essential skills to succeed. But if you’d like to be teaching the 3-15 age groups you may need something more. This course will help you manage, motivate and succeed with both adults and young learners alike. It has been carefully designed so that the young learner component follows on logically across each of the 4 modules in easy to follow sections. In addition to your teaching English to Young Learners certificate, you will be awarded a level 1 Certificate of Educational studies in TESOL by the international TESOL accrediting body, ACTDEC.

About the course

This 4 module course is approximately 100 study hours and will typically take you between 1-3 months to complete but we allow up to 6 months for course completion. The course is graded by continuous assessment. There are short tasks and in-depth activities throughout, with an exam question at the end of the course. A qualified EFL tutor will mark your answers and is available by phone or email if you require any further help. You will be awarded an ACTDEC Preliminary Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL upon successful completion, along with a Global English TEYL Certificate. A free ‘train to teach’ CD-ROM accompanies the course, where you can view and assess real teaching segments, assisted by guided commentary. A choice of course book for Young Learners (either primary or teenage focus) is also included.
