Signing up for this 120 Hour course will entitle you to a FREE job placement in one of the following countries:

China, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Japan, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan and Thailand.

Please note that the dates for this course as detailed below are the dates for commencement of the Weekend element of the course. You can complete the Grammar Awareness Module and the online courses at any point. To book, please choose the date for your Weekend course. The other course elements will be added to your booking automatically. The duration of the course is given as 8 weeks. People take on average 8 weeks to complete all the modules; this obviously depends on your individual pace. You have 6 months to complete the online elements of the course.

Course Description

About the Weekend & Online TEFL Course + Grammar Module + Specialist Modules
The 120-hour course is a comprehensive certification. It combines practical training with extensive theory. This combination leads to maximizing your confidence in teaching in a variety of typical teaching situations within TEFL / TESOL schools across the world and therefore increases both your employability and your competence in the classroom.

The following elements are included on the course:

-Face to face training (20 hours)
-Online training (40 hours)
-Extra grammar training (20 hours)
-Training in specialist areas (40 hours)

Course materials are included in the price. You will have an on-line tutor who will guide you throughout your course and you will be provided with a certificate and letter of recommendation upon completion of your course.

Course Structure
The 120-hour course consists of the following components:
a 20 hour weekend TEFL course
a 40 hour online TEFL training course
a 20 hour online Grammar Course
40 hours of online specialist modules:

The 20-hour Weekend Course
The 20hr weekend course will give you the basic training you need to be an English teacher. In just one weekend you will learn the skills and methodology that will give you the confidence to get out there and teach.

You will enjoy a fun, interactive and high-impact course. The Weekend course gives you the chance to work in front of a group and interact with others in a simulation class setting.
Over the two-day course you will be introduced to all the essential TEFL areas you need to walk into a classroom with confidence.

The weekend training will provide you with a valuable opportunity for face-to-face classroom instruction, getting a feel for what the classroom setting is like which enables role-playing opportunities that you could not take advantage of through our online course.

The Weekend TEFL course lasts two days from 9-8 on Saturday and 9-6 on Sunday. There will be short breaks where refreshments will be provided. (Lunch is not included.)

• Reading & Listening: teaching comprehension skills

The 40-hour Online TEFL Course
This course is a stand alone online TEFL course in its own right. The theory of the online learning combines perfectly with the practical content of the weekend course. The online course gives you the opportunity to work through the theory and ideas of teaching with the guidance of your personal online tutor, keeping you on track and above all enthusiastic. On this course you’ll be looking at everything from lesson planning and classroom management to teaching methodology and language awareness.

The online course is also supported by audio and video modules. Audio learning means you can get extra course input while sitting in the bath or riding your bike. Video tutorials show live examples from each modules followed by teaching tips relevant to the module you’re on.

-Module 1 (2-3 hrs approx) : Student Motivation, Teacher Roles & TEFL Methods
-Module 2 (6-8 hrs approx) : A Guide to English Grammar (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced)
-Module 3 (3-4 hrs approx) : Classroom Management & Student Levels
-Module 4 (6-8 hrs approx) : How to teach English Grammar
-Module 5 (4-5 hrs approx) : How to teach English Vocabulary
-Module 6 (3-4 hrs approx) : Observe & analyse a TEFL teacher in action (video download)
-Module 7 (1-2 hrs approx) : How to teach Speaking and Writing Skills
-Module 8 (4-5 hrs approx) : How to teach Reading and Listening Skills
-Module 9 (5-6 hrs approx) : Games & Lesson Planning
-Module 10 (1hr approx) : Information, Resources, Jobs and Applications

The 20-hour Grammar Course
The Grammar Course is designed to give you confidence in English grammar.

This easy-to-use online module takes you through the rules and terminology of English grammar step by step.

The course helps you to get to grips with the Present Perfect and other grammatical delicacies in your own time, own space and at your own pace. This part of the course is essential if you have no idea what the difference between the Present Continuous and Present Simple is. Studying grammar will be a revelation and will give an enormous confidence boost to both you and your employer!

You work through the Grammar course in your own time in your own home. After completing the answer sheets you return them to your tutor for correction.


40 hours of Specialist TEFL Training
Eight online mini-courses of 5 hours each, complementing your basic TEFL training, will give you the fullest training you can get.
This training will give you the confidence to deal with any teaching situation you find yourself in and give your future school the confidence in your abilities and dedication to being the best teacher you can be.

You will be guided through these four short courses by your personal tutor.

Is it for you?
To join the TEFL course you should have:
• Native or near-native English fluency
• A minimum age of 17
• One free weekend to take the course
• A desire to teach people to speak English

Non-native speakers should have a reasonable standard of English, i.e. a level equivalent to Cambridge Advanced (CAE) or IELTS 7.5.
No academic qualifications are required - enthusiasm is the only thing you need.

The course takes place in The George Washington University Inn.

There will be tea and coffee served throughout the weekend, but please remember to arrange your own food and accommodation.

Accreditation and links The i-to-i courses are accredited by or have links with the following bodies:

The Open and Distance Learning Council (ODLQC) ODLQC is the British government's guardian of quality in open and distance learning. It was set up in 1968 to monitor and enhance quality in training and education.
The ODLQC have strict standards to which course providers must conform. It's not just the quality of the courses that the ODLQC assesses, but the whole process from start to finish. ODLQC accreditation means that the courses have passed a rigorous evaluation and continue to be monitored regularly.
