A lumpsum of £600 for two weeks contract including full baord accommodation
Job Description
The Manchester Academy of English is a well-established language school in central Manchester. We are running 2-week summer courses for young overseas students –mostly Italian- aged 10-18. The three courses are residential: one at Lancaster University Campus, the others at PGL activity centres.
We organise 3-hour English lessons in the morning plus two project work sessions in the afternoon each week. The maximum number of students per group is 15.
Materials, teachers’ notes and a syllabus for each of the 5 levels are provided by the Academy but teachers are expected to do some preparation work in advance and design and run the project sessions. They are also required to assist in the evaluation of students on the first day of the course, and to accompany the students on full-day excursions at the weekend.
Accommodation in the centres is provided, as is full board, but you will need to make your own travel arrangements. Please note that you will have to arrive at the centres on the Sunday prior to the beginning of the course.
Successful applicants will be asked to attend an induction day in Manchester and may be required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure check.
PLEASE NOTE THIS CONTRACT IS FOR TWO WEEKS ONLY.
