Job Description

Established 23 years ago, Milner College is Perth's oldest ELT college. We occupy our own 5 storey building, with café and garden, in the city centre and are known for our congenial atmosphere and high teacher morale.

Although we are a CELTA training centre, we always need additional teachers to start in September, October and November, for 3 to 6 months or more. Perth is booming and abundant jobs are available.

Teachers are paid Award rates, an extra allowance for whatever additional duties they do, free gym club membership and assistance in finding jobs in other cities if they move on after their time at Milner.

Perth, a beachside city of about 1.8 million, enjoys an average of 8 hours of sunshine a day. Australia's gateway from Europe, Perth's living costs are lower than Sydney's.

Compensation

Under Australia's legislated wages system, ELT wages range from AUD174 to AUD232 per day, plus allowances for non teaching duties, if any. Most Working Holiday makers fall in the AUD174 - AUD184 bracket.

* an undergraduate degree;
* the CELTA or Trinity Certificate;
