School Details - Woking

We have been offering the Trinity CertTESOL course in Woking since 1992; more than 3,000 teachers have been successfully trained since then. Our dedicated teacher trainers are available to support and give advice throughout each course, including during the evenings and weekends, so you can be sure of lots of individual attention in helping you develop on this course. As a result, the course has a consistently high pass rate of nearly 100%.

Course Description

Our aims:
- to prepare our trainees for entry into the profession of teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), focusing very much on the practical aspects of current teaching techniques and methodologies.
- to provide stimulating training courses that help trainees develop quickly into confident and competent EFL teachers.

Our course:
Our course equips you with the necessary skills to pursue the wide choice of career opportunities open to qualified EFL teachers. On the course you will cover:
- Teaching Adults
- Teaching Teenagers
- Teaching Young Learners
- Teaching Business English
- Teaching On-line lessons
- Teaching One-to-one lessons

You graduate with the Trinity College London CertTESOL certificate, which is recognised by employers worldwide.

The Trinity Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) is one of the leading entry level TESOL or TEFL qualifications. The course is designed for those with little or no experience of teaching English to non-native speakers. The course will give you a comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of contemporary English language teaching, and an insight into the challenges facing the learner and the role of the teacher.

Timetable The part-time courses start with three full day sessions. After that, classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm - 9.30pm and some Saturdays (approximately one a month).
There are six hours of teaching practice on the certificate course; usually done in five teaching practice sessions. Every effort will be made to arrange your teaching schedule to fit in with your existing commitments, but you will need to be available (usually) during the day for teaching practice on these days.
