Teaching Practice
This is an essential part of the course and is done in small groups of trainees. After the teaching practice feedback is conducted with tutors and colleagues.

Assessment and Certificates
Assessment is continous and candidates will receive feedback throughout their course. In addition to the teaching practice candidates are required to complete a Teacher Practice Log and four assigments during the course. These assignments are designed to develop candidate's teaching, learner and language awarness. At the end of the course successful candidates receive the Cambridge Certificate and a Progress Report.

Course Design
The course consists of four weeks of intensive study Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. Candidates must also allow sufficient time for self-study, lesson planning and assignments. Full attendance is very important. It is not possible or advisable to hold even a part-time job while on the course.

Enrolment Proceedure
Applicants for the course must complete an application form and pre-interview language awareness task and send it back to us at Cactus. Once the school has reviewed your application they will then need to conduct an interview with you in person or by telephone. The interview is critical in determining suitability for the course. A deposit is then required to secure your place on the course.

Books
Recommended reading for the course includes:
GRAMMAR
· PRACTICAL ENGLISH USAGE by Michael Swan (OUP) or GRAMMAR FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS Teachers by Martin Parrott (CUP)
