Please note that the dates for this course as detailed below are the dates for commencement of the Weekend element of the course. You can complete the Grammar Awareness Module and the online course at any point. To book, please choose the date for your weekend course. The other course elements will be added to your booking automatically. The duration of the course is approximately 14 weeks as people take on average 56 days to complete all the modules but this obviously varies depending on your individual pace.

About the Weekend & Online TEFL Course + Grammar Module

The 80-hour course is a comprehensive certification. It combines practical training with extensive theory, boosting your confidence to teaching and increasing your employability.

The following elements are included on the course:

-Face to face training
-Online training
-Extra grammar training
-Lesson practice and observation

Course materials are included in the price. You will have an on-line tutor who will guide you throughout your course and you will be provided with a certificate and letter of recommendation upon completion of your course.

Course Structure

The 80-hour course consists of three components: a 20 hour weekend course, a 20 hour GAM (Grammar Awareness Module) and a 40 hour online training course.


The weekend course

You will enjoy a fun, interactive and high-impact course. This certification provides the introductory level of knowledge and certification needed to teach English abroad. The Weekend course gives you the chance to work in front of a group and interact with others in a simulation class setting.
Over the two-day course you will introduced to all the essential TEFL areas you need to walk into a classroom with confidence.

The weekend training will provide you with a valuable opportunity for face-to-face classroom instruction, getting a feel for what the classroom setting is like which enables role-playing opportunities that you could not take advantage of through our online course.

The Weekend TEFL course lasts two days from 9-8 on Saturday and 9-6 on Sunday. There will be short breaks where refreshments will be provided. (Lunch is not included.)

The Weekend TEFL course lasts two days from 9-8 on Saturday and 9-6 on Sunday. There will be short breaks where refreshments will be provided, lunch not included.

The GAM (Grammar Awareness Module)

The Grammar Awareness Module (GAM) is designed to give you confidence in English grammar.

This easy-to-use module takes you through the rules and terminology of English grammar step by step.

You work through the GAM in your own time in your own home, after completing the answer sheets you then retrun them to i-to-i for correction.

The course takes place at the Thistle Hotel in Middlesborough city centre.

There will be tea and coffee served throughout the weekend, but please remember to arrange your own food and accommodation.
