Job Description

Tefl qualified, native speaker graduate teachers are needed to teach in our schools in and around Shanghai. Most classes are with young learners. We are looking for people with a genuine affection for children who enjoy making learning fun.

COURSES; We organise tailored courses for every age group at various levels. In addition to the main texts and teachers' books, teachers have available a variety of teaching material and source materials including games and internet-based activities. Our teachers teach between 18 and 22 contact hours per week on a 5-day week with split shifts rare.

SUPPORT AND TRAINING: A one-week training course is given on arrival which focusses on areas of classroom management, skills work, communicative activities and lesson planning as applied to our various courses.Teachers will have supprt from a senior teacher and a welfare officer in each of our schools.

ACCOMMODATION; Single or shared accommodation is available dependant on availability and rent tends to be about 20% of income. We will assist teachers in finding and securing their accommodation.

VISAS AND TRAVEL; The company will sponsor appointed teachers for all visa applications and will reimburse teachers' airline ticket expenses. Please note that visas will take at least 2 months to be approved.

SALARY : Basic salary in Shanghai is 7200 rmb or 6600 in other areas for a 72 hour month. Increments for CELTA/Trinity Cert and for DELTA/Trinity Diploma teachers. Other increments for proven previous TEFL experience. Overtime payments, help with accommodation, flights reimbursed, end of contract bonus, 22 days paid holidays
