Our summer schools offer a combination of English language lessons and an activities and excursions package designed to appeal to multinational teenagers and young adult groups.

We are looking for creative and enthusiastic English as a Foreign Language Teachers who are looking to build on their English Language Teaching experience with international teenagers. Our English language courses are complimented by a full on-site and off-site activities and excursion programme so we are looking for energetic and outgoing staff who are keen to contribute to the success of the summer programme.
English as a Foreign Language Teachers work 13 out of a maximum of 23 sessions per week, with at least one full day off per week. Embassy CES Summer operates both a full-day and half-day teaching timetables.
English as a Foreign Language Teachers on a full-day teaching timetable will be required to teach 10 sessions (five mornings and five afternoons, normally Monday to Friday) plus 1 residential session (made up of 4x45 minute duties). In view of the amount of English Language Teaching involved on a full-day teaching timetable, the sixth day is for lesson preparation and this consists of 2 sessions.
English as a Foreign Language Teachers on a half-day teaching timetable teach 5 sessions per week. The remaining 6 sessions will normally be made up through participation of on-site and off-site activities and excursions. 1 session is for lesson and materials preparation and the 13th session (made up of 4x45 minute duties) will be for residential duties*
*Non-residential staff will not be required to cover night duties.
All Embassy CES Summer English as a Foreign Language Teachers are given a full induction and site tour on arrival. Teachers will have the academic support from a Director of Studies, plus use of pre-designed materials to minimise lesson preparation time.
Embassy CES Summer is also recruiting: Director of Studies, Centre Managers, Activity Leaders and Activity Managers. Applicants with lifeguarding, First-Aid and coaching qualifications are welcome.
Pre-requisites
Minimum qualification for Teachers:
Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), Trinity (TESOL) or recognised equivalent.
We will also consider applicants with a post-graduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or BEd). In exceptional circumstances, we will consider applications from teachers who do not hold one of these qualifications but who have substantial ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE teaching experience.
Embassy CES Summer also welcomes applications from Newly qualified English as a Foreign Language Teachers.
English as a Foreign Language Teachers should possess excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work in a team, be flexible and have good time management skills. Previous experience of working with teenagers/ minors and knowledge of summer schools would be a great advantage.
Remuneration
From: £300 per week (paid fort-nightly)
£10 increment per week for Returning (max 3 years)
£10 increment per week for EFL experience (post quals/max 3 years)
Overtime (if applicable) paid on a pro-rata basis
Accommodation deduction £30 per week for residential staff
