Details Oxfordcrown is now recruiting English-speaking teachers from English-speaking countries: Britain, Ireland, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and others for the new academic year starting in September 2007.

Oxfordcrown is an international educational agency and a language school with offices in UK, Russia & Czech Republic, which has a network of contracted secondary schools, colleges, universities requiring professional, experienced teachers for full time contracts

Oxfordcrown Moscow is a reputable and highly respectable language centre which was set up in 1996 and was one of the first language schools which started recruiting English-speaking teachers for work in Moscow. Now it is one of the best-known schools in Moscow with operations in more than 90 locations (Moscow schools) and corporate contracts with Russian and foreign companies.

Oxfordcrown is a member of RBCC (Russo-British Chamber of Commerce), is supported by British Council, and is authorized by the Department of Education of Moscow.

Courses: General English for adults, young learners (6-14), school subject course for teen-agers, Business English, teacher-training course for Russian teachers of English.

The main project in 2007 is Young Learners in state schools:
Students are junior and secondary school students (7-13 years old).
Number of needed qualified TEFL and CELTA native-speaking teachers – 70.
OC’s teachers form a community living in the same area of Moscow.
The syllabus is well-structured and monitored by the office staff.
All students and teachers are provided with authentic textbooks and materials (lesson plans, CDs, videos, tapes, etc.)
Teacher training meetings with the OC coordinators – once a week; with methodologists – once a month.
The whole program is authorized by the Department of Education. The program starts on September 1, 2007.

Teachers’ Support Scheme Oxfordcrown is a very caring and friendly company. Oxfordcrown has a wide range of responsibilities working with contracted teachers from before their arrival until their departure. The aim of this scheme is to make sure all teachers are enjoying and gaining from their experience in Moscow, feel supported by Oxfordcrown, help each other being a team, produce good quality work and thus invest in their own and the company’s good will and respectable reputation. The responsibilities will include:
• providing teachers with a Manual
• networking with teachers via regular e-mail and phone contact
• 3-day teacher-training course at the beginning of the course, weekly instruction sessions, monthly meetings with textbook methodologists
• Welfare control: home visits, entertainment, cultural trips
• Teacher quality control, school and parents’ meetings
• Training for and involvement in the student Olympiads
• Providing teachers with an incentive scheme

Qualifications Applicants must have CELTA, DELTA, TESOL or other equivalent TEFL qualifications. Other equivalent qualifications can be considered individually.

Compensation Oxfordcrown offers its teachers a highly competitive package which includes almost all (except food) possible expenses covered by the company leaving the teacher’s salary outside of these expenses. The package includes:

• full company support
• visa support letter
• registration on arrival
• work permit
• 25 hour/week contract, monthly teacher’s salary US$1586 including tax, US$850 after tax.
• US$50 - monthly local transport reimbursement
• day schedule includes 5-6 hours in one school
• accommodation: shared 2 –room flat for 2 teachers (single room, shared bathroom and kitchen facilities) Proximity to working places – walking distance or bus
• airport arrival transfer
• paid holidays after 8 months of work
• 4- day teacher training course on arrival (1-5 September)
• health insurance
• free access to Internet
• bi-lingual office support staff

Extras: • Extra-hour curriculum payment US$20 per academic hour over 500 hours per semester
• Airfare reimbursement up to US$500 – at the end of 9 months contract (June)
