  :: TEFL Careers Talk

For the cost of our train ticket to you, a member of the Cactus team will come up to your campus to run a 2-hour session all about TEFL. The only other thing we ask is that you have a minimum of 20 people signed up for this event in advance to make it worthwhile.

Each session puts the audience at the heart of the talk, and each talk will adapt according to the group’s needs.

What is covered?

The talk gives people a sense of what it might be like to stand up in front of non-native speakers and to teach English is a Foreign Language. It looks at some of the linguistic issues, and gets students grappling with grammar, often for the first time. The talk looks at job opportunities, and discusses what sort of standing TEFL has in the world hierarchy of jobs and gap experiences. Through-routes to jobs abroad are discussed, as well as the latest TEFL job offers from the Cactus TEFL website.
