I have always wanted to teach English as a second language in a country other than my own. I have been learning Spanish for years now, and I love the language. I have worked for years tutoring (one-on-one) students for whom English is a second language. I especially love working with students whose first language is Spanish, as I find the language beautiful and logical. Also, Spanish is my second language, and I can sympathize with their unique difficulties in learning the English language, as I have experienced similar difficulties in my experiences of learning the Spanish language. I had just completed my Master's degree in English and secured two jobs teaching English in respected Universities when Katrina hit my city. I therefor have no real professional/academic opportunities at the moment. I think that this is the perfect time to explore the option of teaching English as a Second Language for an extended period of time, as my positions here will probably not be available until next fall semester. Thanks for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you. Jane Stubbs 281-733-0152 (cell phone) | |||
