Anna Prime’s 1,400-word poem about teaching English in Span was the winner of the inaugural Suzanne Furstner Foundation scholarship.  EL Gazette’s article includes a short quote from the poem, which won Anna a four-week Cambridge Celta EFL training course.

“In sharing our worlds, we create yet another,
One in which we all benefit from the cultures of each other.
It is only then, while teaching others seemingly obvious words
That you realise the English language is entirely absurd.”
