Cactus is proud to announce that it has been nominated for a British Council Innovation Award for its ELA product.  ELA is an online language awareness course for anyone thinking about taking a TEFL course.  It is designed to help trainees brush up their grammar skills.  Jenny Johnson has been included in EL Gazette’s round-up of nominees and comments: “When I ran the teacher training department for International House in Barcelona, I got sick of hearing would-be trainees saying they didn’t feel prepared for a TEFL course because of their lack of knowledge of English grammar. So when I joined Cactus TEFL, I was delighted that a course had been commissioned to plug just this gap and all I needed to do was make it happen.”
