Cactus TEFL and The Guardian announce recipient of Suzanne Furstner scholarship
Competition winner selected from dozens of hopeful entries
22 November 2007: Cactus, one of the world’s leading language training companies, today announces the winner of the first annual Suzanne Furstner Scholarship. Anna Prime is the deserving recipient of the prestigious prize, which will enable her to begin her training as an English teacher whilst also honing her language skills on location in Spain.
As part of the selection process, candidates were asked to complete a scholarship assignment entitled ‘'Six weeks in Spain” and the entries were assessed by Cactus and Liz Ford from The Guardian Education. From a shortlist of five entries, Anna was nominated the winner and will undertake a four-week Cambridge CELTA course, as well as a two-week language training course in Spain.

However, Anna’s assignment stood out from the crowd in terms of her commitment to teaching English and her creative flair.
